The Zarafa Collaboration Platform (ZCP) is an open source software suite capable of replacing Microsoft Exchange. It’s architecture is very modular, makes use of open standards wherever possible, and integrates with common open source components.
This release notes will give an overview of the new features and improvements as well any changes in the architecture of the ZCP version 7.1. The ZCP 7.1 release contains mainly backend improvements and changes, especially to the indexer and Dagent/Spooler. The 7.1 release does not contain large database upgrades. As part of its philosophy Zarafa backports 95% of all bug report fixes to supported production versions in the general and extended support lifecycle phase. These release notes focus on the differences beween the last 7.0.8 and the new 7.1.0 major version, for the many features and changes added in the 7.0 track please review the 7.0 Release Notes. All features and changes of 7.0.x are also present in 7.1.0 but may be more optimized.
